Intentions is a cottage industry.

We handcraft soap in small batches, frequently allowing the natural process to influence the design. Our soap and skin care products focus on their natural ingredients' best qualities. From the softness they lend to the skin, their relaxing scent, the moments they create of relaxation and comfort, the intent is to carry you forward through moments not as calming (hear a horn blaring, do you?). We inspire you to breathe in and remember every moment can be this pleasing. All it takes is a breath. And, we love to provide it for you.

Our intention is to bring you to the place where heaven meets earth.

We use environmentally responsible ingredients and processes. We are fortunate to live in between the California's central valley, America's fruit basket and lovely Napa valley, home of not only exquisite wines, but also olive oils. Local, California produced almond, walnut, olive, soy and rice bran oils make up a majority of our products. We always look first to naturally derived, locally produced ingredients. Our imported ingredients are sourced to be environmentally and socially responsible. For example, our imported shea butter comes from a Fair Trade producer, part of the Africa Fair Trade Council.

Intentions sprang from my passion, as a horticulturist, of plants' inherent wonderful qualities. I began exploring plants' oils and extracts, their properties and effect on skin care. My understanding, as a landscape architect, of design, form and color, transforms soap, as an artistic medium, from a liquid into a solid. My products, ultimately, reflect the beauty and quality of the plants from which originate.

From a love of plants and design, Intentions began.
